The Band of Believers is a vibrant young gospel choir based out of Philadelphia, PA.

Although Philadelphia is the home base for the choir, the membership extends from Northern New Jersey to Northern Virginia. In 2016, AJ Collier formed a small aggregation of singers which has now grown into a choir of 35 members. Collier currently serves as the leader, primary songwriter and vocal director for the ministry.

Since its inception, the Lord’s hand has been upon Band of Believers also known as B.O.B. In July of 2017, they released their first hit single, “I Believe God” which made it to the top ten songs on the iTunes Gospel charts. The same song was then introduced and presented to the Youth and Young Adult Division of Reverend James Cleveland’s Gospel Music Workshop of America Inc. (GMWA) in 2017. “I Believe God” was also introduced and presented to the Youth and Young Adult Division of Thomas Dorsey’s National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses.

In June of 2018, their first full album was released entitled “The Believers Soundtrack”. This versatile album also made it to the top ten songs on the iTunes gospel charts. From this album the hit worship ballad,“OneThing”swept the country as well as the single “Always” originally recorded by the Northern Delaware Chapter of GMWA.

This dynamic community of music ministers recorded their first live project April 13, 2019 in front of a jam packed auditorium at Love Fellowship Tabernacle of Bensalem, Pennsylvania where Bishop Hezekiah X. Walker is the Senior Pastor & Founder. Three months later, July 19, they released the first single from the album entitled, “Hosanna” written by the incomparable Becky White (out of Fayetteville, NC) and made famous by the Reverend Ernest Davis Jr.’s Wilmington Chester Mass Choir some twenty years ago.

B.O.B.’s overall mission is to edify the believer (Ephesians 5:19), draw the unbeliever (Luke 14:23) and to lift the Savior (Psalms 145:1).
